So far so good . . .

So now that the news is out, I can keep ya'll up to date on what is going on!!

How we announced it:
We went out with my friend Molly, and had her take some good pictures of us. I wanted to get some good family pictures to have before we added another member or before I started showing. I really wanted a special way to announce it to our families since I knew we would not be able to do it in person. I made a cute chalkboard to hold with a message that said "Arriving September 2012"! Bella did pretty good with the pictures and after I edited them, I was really happy with what we got, especially since they were free!!!

We sent these pictures and some others to our parents, grandparents, and other family. We called Justin's parents and broke the news to them as they looked at the pictures! Then I sent them to my brother and had him convince my parents to come to the computer and tell them via skype. It all worked perfectly and we were so excited to no longer be keeping it a secret!!

How it's going so far:
I will start with this. Whoever named it "morning" sickness, should be fired. now. That is so far from the actual experience. Now I hear all the time of people who "never" got sick when they were pregnant, and as I knew it would be bad, I do find myself jealous of them now. I pretty much have it all day. I have days here and there that are better than others, but I still walk around with my purse full of food and peppermints, and often a can of sprite.

We went to the doctor for the first visit last week and got to meet our little parachuter for the first time and it was amazing!!! We also got to hear the heartbeat which sounded so precious! It is amazing to think that something not quite a centimeter long has a heartbeat that you can hear! I have a feeling that I am going to be amazed by God's creation all along this journey.
Can you see why I call it my parachuter? :)
I am currently 8 weeks along. I had about 2 weeks that I couldn't eat very much, but at this current time, that is not a problem. I do have my times when I begin to get sick, but I have learned what works for me and I am fairly good at keeping it under control!  Here is my first "Belly" pic!

I promise I am going to try to keep up with this better! Especially since I actually have something fun to post about!

  1. In all my years of knowing you, I have never been able to imagine you with a little pooch! Even though I see your 1st tummy picture, I'm thinkin' that you're just pushing your tummy muscles out as far as you can! ;)

I am so happy for y'all!

P.S. I really like the photo by the train! Don't see those in pictures!
