The other night I pulled out the jumper just to try it on for size. While she is not quite to the bouncing stage, she did enjoy just hanging there and looking cute!!

More Halloween, the good and the bad
Well, the week of halloween was quite eventful! It all started on Sunday, when Madison got a fever. It got too high, so I took her to the doctor (I love that our ped. group has an office open on weekends). They told me to take her to the hospital because they couldn't find anything that would cause it. That is how you scare a new mom. Tell her to take her 8 week old baby to the hospital while throwing around words like spinal tap and meningitis! So I did. We went to the emergency room and didn't have to wait at all! I was very impressed. Everyone was soo nice. I only cried a little bit when they were putting an IV port in her arm. that was super sad!

You can't really see that at this point, she was OBVIOUSLY screaming!
They sent us home that night, after determining they could not find the source of the fever. I was so frustrated! They did not do a spinal tap because they didn't want to torture her any more than necessary.
The whole thing ended up being a virus. It took a few days of lots of crying to get over it. Poor baby got sores in her mouth that made it painful for her to eat. I was determined that we weren't going back to the hospital, so I figured out a way to get her to eat by numbing her mouth. Once I did that, everything went uphill from there! She was able to sleep with a full tummy and begin healing! Now she is doing great and back to her cute self!
So we were able to celebrate Halloween!
We went to the Trunk or Treat that our church had. I did not have much time to decorate, but Madison was a ladybug and Bella was a turtle, so I did a quick decorating job of a little pond. A couple plastic tablecloths, some colored fish, and tape....... and voila! a pond! The lady bug was so warm and cozy on her lilypad and the turtle was the fastest moving turtle you have ever seen!

A good friend gave her this cute halloween shirt, so we had to wear it! I wanted to snap a few quick pics but they turned out cuter than I planned!!!
This girl is starting to smile more and more and we LOVE it!! Mommy is usually the excited recipient of the sweet grins :) Here is the sweet lady...

Madison's Room
Here are some pictures of her girly room! I really wanted to go with a pink theme, but I didn't want a bright color. I wanted a very subtle, pale pink. If you know me, you know I've always liked that color! It took me a long time to find all the right fabrics, paint colors, etc., but once I did, I think it all came together nicely! It's a very cozy room and we already spend tons of time in there! It is a pretty small room, so it took some strategic measuring and planning to make sure it was a functional room, while still being able to be cute :)
Her pretty bed! Mimi (Justin's mom) made it!

Sweet Madison
Well, as you probably know, Madison Lynne has graced us with her presence! She was born September 4th at 4:42pm. She weighed 6 pounds 12 ounces and was 20 inches long! I will upload more pictures later, but today we got her newborn pictures and I wanted to share them! These were taken when she was 6 days old. I am so super excited about them!

More weekly pics...
Ok. I am really trying to get caught up on this! Mainly because at just about any time, my next post could be of little girl's arrival!! AHH! I cannot believe it is actually here!
I was off my game for a few weeks. Had to call a sub.
Total weight gain: about 40 pounds, I know!
Maternity clothes? I'm even growing out of some of my maternity clothes! I cannot wait for my regular wardrobe to come back into play!
Sleep: like a baby! I don't get up at night any more! That's a teacher's bladder for ya!
Miss anything? not waddling everywhere I go.
Movement: It is amazing how much she moves! I often say she must be rearranging furniture in there
Food cravings: I am good friends with..... peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, double stuff oreos, milk, cereal, and fudge bars. I still eat pretty healthy meals, but I don't stress over it! A girl's gotta eat!
Anything make you sick or queasy: still nothing that didn't before I got pregnant!
Labor signs: so far, I am 1 cm dilated and 70% effaced. My dr predicts she might be making her arrival earlier than scheduled! It is a day by day situation now!!
Symptoms: waddling. everywhere. and back pain. everyday. I've also had a little swelling in my feet, but I also think that goes with having to go back to work and being on my feet alot more :(
Belly Button: in. still! I think it just might stay in the whole way!!
Looking forward to: her arrival!! We are pretty much ready for her to come! I was hoping she would be a September baby because I am partial to the month, but she is coming when she is ready, and that might be sooner than later!
Memphis love...
One last shower before little miss Madison graces us with her presence! This time it was with our sweet friends and family that live here in Memphis given by my sister in law, Ashley! I hear that Jacob was quite the helper too ;) It was a great time of getting to see people and visit! It was obviously another cute shower with lots of cute stuff! We are just about ready for her to come now!
All of the delicious food! Seriously!
