And so it begins......

I had decided that I would be a good girl and not look around for things for Baby Craig until we knew if it was a boy or a girl. Well, we know! So now I have started looking around! We have to work quickly with how much Justin is out of town, so I try to do research, or look for inspiration, so when he is home, we can hit the ground running!!

Last week was a big week for us meaning that we did a lot! We started our first project in her room, which is to clean out and organize her closet! We wanted to make sure we used the space as best as we could, so we made that first on the list. Besides, she already has a small selection of clothes that already need a home! I will post a picture of the closet when it's done. Hopefully this weekend.

I had to find an "inspiration" room to start out with. Now, this room is from Restoration Hardware. Don't we all know that teachers can't afford this stuff? A girl can dream though can't she? Anyway, this is the best room I have found that matches the picture I have in my head. I like the soft pink with light tan and cream accented with pale gold and crystal. It sounds like a bit too much when I actually type it out, but I am meaning about like this:

Then, we started with the big stuff. Picking out furniture and registering. Boy are those big jobs!! I had searched the internet from top to bottom looking for the best furniture and this is what we have pretty much decided on!

This crib converts all the way out to a full/queen bed! Only for when she's bigger of course!

This is the hutch that goes on top of the above dresser. It will be the same white of course!

We also went and registered! That was a big job. There are just so many decisions to make about brands and sizes and everything! We registered at Babies R Us, Target, and at Wishpot.com . I feel like we have pretty much covered everything when it comes to what we will need. I tried to get lots of opinions from friends so I could make decisions. I am sure we will find out that we need more of one size or she won't like a certain brand of something, but that only comes when she does!!
