This is how I began my last post almost two and a half months ago. Boy was I right!! I have been soo busy. And I mean sooooooo busy. These past couple of months have been spent trying to stay afloat at school, keep my feet on the ground at home, and keep up with the pace at church. Not to mention that all the while Justin was going through Captain upgrade training (which he sailed through like I knew he would) and was a lot busier than normal. He is now a captain and is currently based out of New York City, JFK airport. Don't even get me started on that. I am so proud of him and all of his hard work!
Since my last post:
1. Elizabeth came out for a week to help me get my new room ready. I had to move rooms after 4 years in the same one, so lets just say that was quite a job. I worked her pretty hard, but she was a HUGE help and there is no way I would have been ready without her.
Just the beginning..... my new room is quite cute! |
3. My birthday came! I got a super duper birthday present! A new sewing machine! If you know me, I am a pretty crafty person. It is something that makes me happy. I have had a sewing machine that I stole from my mom when we moved for essential sewing projects and I think it is from 1970. or 1960. it is old. I even tried to fix it up and buy new parts but it was so old, that was not possible. So I started doing my research. I talked to a friend and figured out that I wanted a machine that could do embroidery too. Let me just say, I LOVE IT! I've already gotten the itch for making more projects.
You can see I was already working on projects. |
4. I discovered Pinterest. There is not much I can say except I am addicted. If you don't know what it is, you might not want to. You will get sucked in. And it does not help with my burning desire to do creative crafty projects. I mean I might recommend buying stock in Hobby Lobby, Joanns, and Michaels. Can't say I didn't warn you. :) If I only had more time to do all my new "to dos" on my to do list.
5. I know you're wondering about her. Bella is good. She is now fully grown at 45 pounds. She is a bit small for a boxer, but I think she is a perfect size for us! Everyday when I get home, we go outside and play frisbee ball. What is that you ask? exactly as it sounds. I throw the ball down the street. She runs and gets it with her wonderful floppy ears flapping up and down in the wind. Then, when she returns, I throw the frisbee. Then the ball. Then the..... you get it. I think she could play this game for days. seriously.
With that said, this is the face I am getting right now. The sleepy face. She is ready for bed, so that means it is time to quit. There is much more, so I will do my best to come back soon and catch you up more.
Sweet sleepy head |
